Parish Wide Bible Studies

Throughout the year at St. Mark there are opportunities to take part in bible studies and presentations with a variety of themes and topics. Currently, Fr. Wood is presenting “Genesis to Jesus” which comes from Scott Hahn’s Biblical Institute on Thursday evenings at 7p.m. Please contact the Parish Office at 405-366-7676 for more information and join us!

Tuesday Conversations

Tuesday Conversations began in the spring of 2010, when a group finishing the RCIA program, recognized that formation in faith is a life-long process. Not wanting to conclude their exploration of our Catholic Faith, they expressed a desire to continue meeting and studying Catholicism together in greater depth; however, all are welcome to attend. Books, videos, and other media are chosen for faith formation and discussion by the group under the direction and leadership of St. Mark parish catechists. The group meets on Tuesday evenings at 6:00pm.

Core subject matter includes the Eucharist, sacred Tradition, Reconciliation (Confession), Mary, and the Papacy. Other topics are covered in between the major themes. These have included the Fathers of the Church, seven deadly sins and their corresponding virtues, the Didache, Church architecture, history of the Liturgy, and many others. Bulletin announcements point out each week’s discussion. Participation is voluntary and everyone is welcome to listen and join the lively conversations any Tuesday evening.

Catholic Q&A

Catholic Q&A calls any of the faithful to come forward with questions they may have about the Catholic Church. Inspired by the New Evangelization, Catholic Q&A encourages both cradle Catholics as well as those who've more recently come home in their conversion journey. St. Mark catechists are available to answer questions or to help find answers through the many resources we have available to our parish.

Catholic Q&A sessions are held in the parish library on Thursday evenings at 7 pm. Can't make it to join us? Submit your questions by selecting Catholic Q&A on our contact page.
