Food and Shelter Cottage
Hope Cottage Ministry has provided loving support for family to transition FROM HOMELESS TO HOPEFUL! Our precious family is thankful for your generous gifts of prayer, time, talent, and the beautiful treasures sent to furnish their new home. They will be take these furnishings with them when they are prepared to move into their own place. The greatest need is for PRAYER to guide our family in their overwhelming journey. Although the online "Wish List" has become small your monetary support to purchase clothes and shoes, as well as miscellaneous basic items would be quite helpful. We would also love for a person interested in photography to take family pictures this fall, and perhaps some assistance with a pre-portrait, mini-makeover! Hope Cottage in Food & Shelter’s McKown Village, has been lovingly furnished by parishioners of St. Mark. This 900 sq. ft. house sits in a small village of similar homes. We furnish the house and support the family in encouraging ways. Thank you, to everyone who served to prepare this safe, new home for a mother and her two children. F&S case workers will guide them on their journey to a life of stability and self sufficiency. We celebrated the completion with an open house and a beautiful Blessing by Father Wood. We will continue to support this precious family-especially with prayer, in their challenging journey toward a better life. When they move to their more permanent home, they take the furnishings with them. Then, we start again!
