![]() We are a community of 1340 families in Norman, Oklahoma who gather joyfully and gratefully to celebrate the mysteries of our faith in a spirit of gratitude as stewards of God’s gifts. The average age of our community is 34 years, and consequently our vision and energies are spent on shaping the future and handing on the faith traditions to our many young children. Sacramental Life and Sacramental celebrations regularly remind us of who we are as children of God and servant disciples of the Lord Jesus Christ.
Social Service to the poor in our own community and a commitment to children in Haiti are a regular part of our lives. Education for every generation and formation for sacraments with RCIA and Marriage Preparation is a high priority at Saint Mark.
Located west of I-35 on Tecumseh Road in north Norman, the Parish of Saint Mark was founded in 1991 and has grown rapidly from 250 families to 1340 in twenty years. As a result, hospitality and welcome have become a mission for us. With cheerfulness and joy we welcome visitors and new members with gratitude, and we have special care for any who are looking for a way to come home to the faith of their baptism. Single parent families always find a welcome among us, as well as men and women who live a single life. |
